Price Benowitz Attorney Named Super Lawyers Rising Star for Third Year

Criminal Defense attorney Dayne Phillips of Price Benowitz LLP has been selected for inclusion in the 2019 South Carolina Super Lawyers Rising Stars list. This is his third year in a row receiving this distinction.

This selective honor is only awarded to 2.5 percent of attorneys in each state after a highly rigorous selection process that includes peer nominations, evaluations, and independent research. The Super Lawyers Distinction is given only to those are deemed by the legal community to demonstrate the highest caliber of legal professionalism and excellence in their practice of law.

Phillips has long been esteemed in the legal community as a former President of the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He has been recognized by Columbia Business Monthly as among Columbia’s Legal Elite for the practice of Criminal Law, and he previously received the AV Preeminent Peer Rating by Martindale-Hubbell.

In addition to these honors, Phillips has frequently contributed legal analysis to the press and academia. He has been featured in The State Newspaper, SC Lawyers Weekly, and local television, and he has given lectures on constitutional rights, motions practice, and appellate practice.

Phillips is a native of Lexington County, where he attended Airport High School. He graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2010 with a Juris Doctorate and then went on to graduate from the National Criminal Defense College and National Forensic College.
