Dayne Phillips: Welcome to the South Carolina Criminal Law Podcast. I’m your host, Dayne Phillips. As a lawyer who was born and raised in South Carolina and has dedicated his life to this profession, I’m excited to start this much-needed legal podcast.

You will hear South Carolina criminal defense lawyers discuss the law and issues related to defending the accused and advocating for the convicted in the Palmetto State. As a criminal defense lawyer, my mission is to defend the accused and a person’s right to have their side of the story told. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to help people when they need it most, and my goal in every case is to make a difference in that person’s life.

This is an amazing responsibility and rewarding experience that makes all the long nights and weekends worth it. The reality is some people are wrongfully accused while others simply made a mistake and need help. Unfortunately, many defendants are incorrectly or overcharged based on what actually happened.

This is why I’m passionate about standing up against the government to fight for those people and to protect their rights. Simply put, no person should be accused of something they didn’t do or be defined by the worst thing they’ve ever done.

Thank you for listening.
